Gifted Babies Program For 3-week to 2.5-years babies
"Reaching children before preschool could offer the best long-term economic return."
- Prof. James Heckman, 2000 Nobel Prize economist.
Your baby’s brain Your baby is born with hundreds of billions of synapses. Wiring (learning to form memory units) takes place upon stimulation from human interaction. The brain develops at a dazzling speed and doubles in size in the first year. The first year is vital to the development of emotion, intelligence and languages.
Language synapses develops rapidly after birth & peaks out in the 8th month. Billions of connections of sound database have to be built during this period to develop the voice recognition system to decipher the sound waves received by the ear. Acute deprivation of language stimulation during the critical period leads to inadequate wiring, retarded brain development and language impairment, for life.
Why is early exposure to more languages important? The brain can only pick up sounds with wirings already built in the voice recognition system. Exposure to more languages during the early years enhances the voice recognition system and enables your child to pick up and to imitate sounds in a foreign language much more easily.
The Abecedarian Project 1972 -1998 A definitive research conducted by a group of psychologists at the North Carolina University over a span of 35 years (1972-2007) concludes that early language training boosts IQ, academic results and leads to a better career. http://www.fpg.unc.edu/~abc/FPG_ABC-video.cfm
Gifted Babies Program builds on North Carolina University’s successful experience and HK’s rich exposure to languages. The prototype, built by a 1st Class Hon graduate from Oxford University, is refined by Le Beaumont’s 10,000 hours of R & D in early brain development and language acquisition. It is a proven success.
